The Israeli authorities received reports of an impending attack by the Palestinian radical group Hamas, but refused to believe it. Colonel Yigal Carmon, a former employee of the Israeli intelligence service AMAN, said this in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
“Video on Telegram with military exercises in Gaza in September, propaganda, reports, speeches. They hardly hid their intentions. I wrote about this several times,” said the retired intelligence officer.
