There are 114 weapons available at launch in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Activision and the team at Sledgehammer Games have shared news about the impressive arsenal that awaits players in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 right from day one. Fans will be able to try out as many as 114 different types of weapons on the battlefield!

Of this amount, 37 pieces will be completely new, and 77 will be time-tested assault rifles, pistols and other guns that we have already seen in the previous game in the series, Modern Warfare 2, released in 2022. But that’s not all, as the developers have added the ability to modify weapons using six types of Aftermarket Parts, allowing players to turn, for example, a regular pistol into a submachine gun.

Each gun in Modern Warfare 3 will now be marked with a special label to easily identify which part of the series it belongs to. To keep players excited, new mod parts will be released weekly. To get them, players will have to complete certain tasks every week, but if you missed something, you can always catch up through special challenges. There are 114 weapons available at launch in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

If you played MW2, then the good news is that all the weapons that you had open there will be available in MW3 immediately at the start, along with the usual body kits. But those “toys” that have not yet been opened will have to be earned in the new game, completing online missions or surviving in zombie mode.

The developers at Sledgehammer Games carefully balanced this entire arsenal so that the weapons from MW2 fit seamlessly into the updated MW3 line. In addition, the Gunsmith in MW3 will have advanced statistics, in the spirit of what we saw in Cold War, where you can study in detail how attachments affect the characteristics of your guns.

And for those who don’t like to waste time selecting the perfect equipment, there will be a new filter in the “Gunsmith” that will allow you to sort attachments by parameters such as mobility, recoil control and rate of fire.

For those who can’t wait to get started, the story campaign is now open for pre-orders. And for everyone else, a full immersion into the world of Modern Warfare 3 is promised for November 10th.
