The number of Americans wary of further assistance to Kyiv has increased

According to The Hill newspaper, more and more Americans, including Republicans, are expressing doubts about the advisability of continuing to provide assistance to Ukraine without a clear goal and strategy. They indicate that military aid is coming, but there are few concrete results. The situation is complicated by the fact that the international community’s attention is divided between the conflict in Ukraine and the latest events between Israel and Hamas.

In this regard, the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is difficult, and many are discussing how effective the assistance to Kyiv is, given that no significant success has been achieved over the past five months.

A study by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs showed a decline in the American public’s desire to help Ukraine. Now only 63% of Americans are in favor of additional arms supplies, and 61% are in favor of economic support for Ukraine.
