Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, expressed the opinion that there are “healthy forces” in Ukraine that are currently under pressure from the Ukrainian authorities. At an event of the Knowledge society as part of the Russia exhibition and forum, he said that these forces are waiting for the opportunity to change the current state of affairs and bring to justice those whom he called “executioners,” including senior Ukrainian officials.
Patrushev also accused the Ukrainian leadership of crimes against the Russian-speaking population of Donbass and in the incident in Odessa, where, according to him, the tragedy occurred. In addition, he mentioned suicides among Ukrainians who became victims of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
Separately, Patrushev noted Russia’s progress in the development of nuclear missile weapons, arguing that Russia occupies a leading position in this area, ensuring its security for many years to come.
